Our standards

Who we're looking for.

We keep our network deliberately small. We would rather turn away a hundred good tutors than admit one who isn't right for the families we serve.

  1. IA current student or recent graduate of one of the ASAM 25. This is the bar, and it is not negotiable.
  2. IIAble to teach at least one subject to a high level: GCSE, A-Level, IB, or admissions (Oxbridge, US college, UCAT and similar).
  3. IIIA genuinely exceptional communicator. Academic excellence is the entry requirement, not the differentiator; the tutors we accept also inspire.
  4. IVReliable, professional, and able to commit to students over time.

The process

How it works.

    Apply

    Complete a short application: your university, the subjects and levels you can teach, and a little about you. It takes five minutes.

  2. II

    Verify & interview

    We verify your university enrolment via your university email and, where relevant, documentation, then have a short conversation about your teaching and strengths.

    We don't take shortcuts on this. It's what our families trust us for.

    Get matched

    When a student fits your background, we make the introduction with a short brief. You're never sent a stranger and left to work it out.

  4. IV

    Teach & get paid

    Families pay us, and we pay you directly by bank transfer. You teach; we handle the money.

Do I have to be a current student?
No. Recent graduates of the ASAM 25 are welcome, and often in high demand for admissions work.
How much work will I get?
It varies with demand and your subject, but we only grow our network in line with the students we have. We'd rather keep our tutors busy than sign up more than we can support.
What are the rates?
Rates depend on subject, level and experience, with higher rates for admissions and specialist work. We discuss them individually with every tutor we accept.
Can I tutor around my degree?
Yes. You tell us your availability and we match within it. Most of our tutors fit teaching around a full course load.
Are sessions online or in person?
Primarily online, which means you can teach students anywhere in the world. In-person may be arranged case by case.
What's required before I can start?
Verification of your university place, the right to work in the UK, and a signed tutor agreement, which we send you online once you're approved.
