Harry Webster
Harry read History at Worcester College, University of Oxford, before going on to study at SOAS, University of London and Tsinghua University in Beijing, giving him a genuinely international perspective that informs everything ASAM does.
He founded A Step Ahead Mentors during Covid, having watched exceptional students struggle to keep momentum as schools, even the finest, found themselves ill-equipped for remote learning. What started as a response to an immediate problem revealed a deeper truth: even the best institutions can rarely give each student the focused, expert attention that unlocks their potential.
In the years since, Harry has built a reputation for placing ambitious students at some of the world's most competitive institutions, working with families across China, the United States and Europe, including a number of prominent family offices, to secure places at Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, HKU, Bocconi, Stanford, Yale and beyond.
He has been an active tutor for over seven years and continues to teach. Not as a formality, but because staying close to the curriculum, to students, and to the best of current teaching practice is what keeps ASAM's standards high.
